Music for Hard Times June 27th

The NEK Death Care Community, together with the J.W. Simpson Memorial Library, have put together a wonderful, free, welcoming, community workshop about the power of music to hold us up during hard times in our lives.

Join us on Saturday, June 27th, from 1 - 3 p.m. at the East Craftsbury Presbyterian Church. Learn about

  • Community members’ experiences with music when a loved one is dying

  • A local group that offers to sing at the bedside of loved ones

  • Why music impacts our bodies, minds and spirits so profoundly, from a former chaplain

  • The power of singing with others in community, which we will experience together led by Heidi Wilson

Heidi’s passion is to share songs in service to community and the wild world; songs that celebrate the seasons, bring groups together, offer thanks, muster courage, and make room for connection and healing. If you haven’t already, listen to this piece about Heidi’s song “Hold On”.

After our workshop, Heidi will be leading a seasonal community sing just down the road at the J.W. Simpson Memorial Library in East Craftsbury. All are welcome.
