Graceful Exits - Singing and Panel Discussion in St. J September 24th 7 p.m.

The Atheneum and Northeastern VT Regional Hospital have organized an event to introduce local resources for Gentle Care at the End of Life. The Continua choir will sing. Continua is a group of volunteer singers who provide music for comfort and support to those facing the end of life. Small groups of 4-6 members sing for patients and their families in private homes, nursing homes, hospitals and rehabilitation center settings. Members of Continua will talk about their work and share a few songs from their repertoire.

Speakers on the panel will talk about:

• What is a Death Doula?

• Where to find care in the NEK

• Creating your Legacy by writing your Life Story

• How music can help

• How to find Spiritual Comfort

This event is free and open to all. It will be at the St. Johnsbury Atheneum, 1171 Main St, St Johnsbury, VT 05819.
